New Community Academy’s annual Winter Retreat was a resounding success! Held in the lovely mountain community of Big Bear, California on Wednesday-Thursday, February 27 and 28, our students were able to get away from the classroom and have some fun in the snow. We love the small family-like environment of our school, which makes getting away for school trips like this a blast. Not to miss a learning opportunity, Mr. Mark had the students participate in a hands-on science project using yeast that tied into their dinner, which was delicious homemade yeast waffles. Ms. Mallory gave her testimony, and Ms. Kimberly did a Bible Study and invited the students to spend some time in God’s word.

The two day trip was a wonderful time of bonding for the students and teachers, as well as a great time to get away from the busyness of life down the mountain. Please enjoy some of the fun photos that Ms. Michele took of the trip!
